Currently exercise is an area of my life I am working at but I can’t say I’ve “arrived”.
I actually enjoy working out. (Jammin’ to tunes on my iPod is a pre-requisite but I love it.)
However, recently other tasks have been getting in the way of the treadmill. I gave the matter DoAhead consideration and this is what I came up with.
I get my exercise gear out the night before and lay it by the foot of the bed. My alarm is usually ringing by 5:30 am. Even if I’m in a semi-comatose state I’m able to reach for my workout clothes and suit up.
I’ve learned to keep whatever book I am currently reading at the treadmill. It doesn’t take long until the walk wakes me and I’m able to enjoy a morning read.
Last but not least, I try to have my thermos of water ready for the morning as well. Sounds crazy but every morning minute counts around here.
(As an side, check out the thermos. Walmart has them in the camping department and they are the bomb. Water keeps cold for 12 hours!)
