Pull Apart Rolls

Pull Aparts 1

Many foods stir up images of love and affection, but nothing does it better than caramel rolls!

What is it about caramel rolls? Is it the smell of warm cinnamon wafting from the oven?  Is it knowing someone cared enough to make them?

I’m not sure…all I know is at 1 North Harmon folks start licking their fingers when Pull Aparts are in the oven!

Today’s DoAhead Recipe for caramel rolls is one of the best I’ve ever tasted.

It’s different than Monkey Bread.  Most Monkey Bread recipes use biscuits.  The DoAhead in this recipe is the use of frozen bread dough. It’s still easy but the frozen dough lends a homemade taste to the rolls.

The caramel in this recipe has the added punch of butterscotch. The combination of yeast dough and pudding truly sets these bad boys apart from Monkey Bread!

Enough details! Check out the recipe…

Pull Apart Rolls

Time to prepare – 20 to 30 minutes.

Temperature – 350

Frozen Bread Dough 1 loaf

Butterscotch Pudding 1 package, not instant

Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup

Margarine 1/2 Cup

Cinnamon 1 teaspoon

Melt margarine; stir in pudding, brown sugar and cinnamon.

Tear softened bread dough into small pieces, layering in bread pan with caramel covering each layer.

Let rise until double in size.

Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Invert on serving dish.

(Place the prepped rolls in a warmed oven and cover, they will usually rise within 30 minutes.)

You and your fam will not be disappointed in these babies. Warning…they’re a little like that famous potato chip.

You can’t eat just one!
