I admit it. I’m a sucker for home-made recipes of pretty much anything. I can make bug remover for windshields. I have a recipe for a concoction that treats mildew in plants. And now my arsenal contains a recipe for whitening teeth!
I’ve been eager to post this, but I wanted to give it a good trial run so I could make sure it really works. My experience thus far has been that it does!
If you’re teeth are in hard core need of whitening you may need to see your local dentist but if you are simply trying to keep the coffee stains at bay this works.
Teeth Whitening Trick for Home
Items needed:
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Baking Soda
Hydrogen Peroxide
Small cup
Squeeze a small portion of toothpaste in a cup (I use a plastic cup so I can discard it.) Add approximately 1 Tbsp of baking soda and 1 to 2 tsp of Hydrogen Peroxide. Use your toothbrush to mix the ingredients. (I don’t measure anymore. I simply throw the items together. If you want a true paste you’ll need adjust the Hydrogen Peroxide.)
Brush your teeth with the mixture. (I do it in the shower. No sense looking like a rabid dog when Doc walks in the bathroom.)
Do this one time a week for 6 to 8 weeks. Do not exceed 10 weeks. You should see noticeable whitening (I thought it was most helpful for the stains that tend to surface between teeth). After 10 weeks do it once a month.
