It was a week ago. A Saturday morning. The first Saturday in a string of six that we…were…HOME!
House was quiet. Teens still slumbered. Doc was moving slow. And I was still savoring the stillness.
As I sat on the couch I looked out the window. It was snowing.
Snowglobe snow.
Snow that falls up.
Large flakes would lift up on some unseen breeze. Their weightless bodies carried my soul and I savored the beauty. I savored HIM.
Eight days have passed. The week has been busy. I draw in a sigh as I realize the busyness of the holidays is just one ninety degree angle away.
I am praying for myself and all other sweet DoAheads that do so very much for so many others this time of year.
I am praying for more snow falling up.
I’m praying for stolen moments to enjoy the sweetness of being with Him, whispering our secrets to Him. Moments when His truth can saturate our heads and hearts so we’re equipped to serve with joy.
Oh yes. I’m ready again…ready for snow falling up.
“I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing; To live with him in his house my whole life long. I’ll contemplate his beauty; I’ll study at his feet. That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, The perfect getaway…” Psalm 27:4-5
