I’m going to give you fair warning. This chocolate sauce is the D-day of all chocolate sauces. It’s rich, dark and fudgey. My dear sister-in-law shared this recipe several years ago. We modified it slightly in order to thicken it. Hands down, it’s the best chocolate sauce I’ve ever tasted!
No more delays dear DoAheads…it’s time to get serious about chocolate.
Chocolate Kahlua Sauce
Ingredients:
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Tbsp Kahlua
Combine the chocolate chips, butter and cream in a bowl. Heat in the microwave, stirring frequently in order to make sure the chocolate doesn’t burn. Once melted and mixed well stir in the coffee flavored liqueur. If this version of the sauce is still too thin for your liking, continue to add chips until it reaches desired consistency.
This bad boy is amazing over ice cream and for dipping fruit.
Enjoy!
