Peanut Butter-Chocolate & Banana Smoothie

Peanut Butter & Chocolate 1

Public Service Announcement:

I’m mixing things up a bit on DoAhead. Now that our tribe has made it through graduation it’s time to share my decision to post twice a week versus three times a week.  However, it’s not so I can write less…it’s because I want to write more!

As we “speak” I’m perusing opportunities for publisher meetings. I have a little secret. It’s called a book proposal!

Funny thing about those darn books, they don’t write themselves. I’m learning that writing a book is like laundry. I may get the dirty clothes sorted into piles but if I don’t put hands to my mini Mt. Everest’s——– the mountains only get bigger! Apparently the same is true for writing. I have a proposal and several chapters under my belt but Kilimanjaro is steep and I need to keep climbing!

In recent months I’ve been trying to blog and work on a manuscript. Honestly, I’m not sure I’m giving either my best!

I’ve also been convicted its time for a DoAhead Woman Newsletter. A monthly or quarterly blurb with favorites, inside scoops and give-aways. Too. Much. Fun!

Bottom line…conversations with God over my piles of laundry led to the epiphany that it was time to blog less so I can write more.

While we’re on the topic of changes there are a few other things that may crop up on the blog. I’m trying new “behind-the-scenes” stuff, aka plug-ins that will (hopefully) make DoAhead better. Of course, there is the remarkable possibility it will get worse before it gets better. (If you can imagine a plumber re-wiring your house that should give you a good visual of me navigating technical upgrades.)

The whole reason for all this “blah, blah, blah”? I want to ask for your patience. YOU are what makes DoAhead Woman! When you stop over, comment or share that’s what it’s all about, so keeping you in the loop is important to me.

I don’t want today’s post to be restricted to an update so here’s a new recipe our tribe recently implemented for breakfast. This bad boy has peanut butter, chocolate and banana. Although its awesome in the morning it would be terrific as an after-school or after work-out snack! (The original recipe is from Blendtec. Our household modified the milk base. Click on the Blendtec link for other smoothie recipes.)
