Slicer Dicer! {Give Away Today!}

Stewed Tomatoes 2

I see London. I see France.

I could care less about underpants…because all I see are TOMATOES!

Consequently, this DoAhead Woman is picking, washing, cutting, chopping, freezing and canning tomatoes! Which brings me to the point of this post. I have found something that has helped tremendously with all my slicing dicing and it’s call the Vidalia Chop Wizard. It’s helped me so much I want YOU to have one too!

Before we get to the details of the give-away how about the backstory and a little demo? The backstory is that Doc loves “as seen on TV”anything. I do not. I don’t consider myself a cynic but when it comes to gadgetry sold on television my first instinct is to cry foul. So when Doc and I took the kids to the Mall of America this past year and he waltzed into the As Seen On TV store it took great restraint for me to keep from rolling my eyes.

But I’m a good wife so I smiled and said, “I’ll meet you over there when you’re done.” I can’t even remember where “over there” was, all I know is I embraced the opportunity to be anyplace other than Doc’s store of choice.

A few minutes later he walked out, face graced with the grin of a Cheshire Cat and a sack under his arm. He had just scored a Vidalia. I feigned great joy over the purchase. However——–

Months passed and the Vidalia continued to make it’s way from the back of my cupboard to the cutting board by my sink. Dang I thought,

This sucker is handy.

Doc is such a gentleman, he never rubbed my nose in it. If he had it would have been well-deserved. I have come to love the thing and I use it often. Tech savvy chefs are all about their food processor but I’m too lazy to clean mine. This little contraption is a snap to rinse off, isn’t bulky and best of all it’s dishwasher safe.

Below are a few pics of how well it worked with our tomatoes:

  9. i have much the same story as you. I got one from my sister as a gift and it sat on a shelf until I used it the first time. Now I love it. I even gave two to dear friends last Christmas. It reminds me of what some of us do in terms of our relationship with Jesus. Put it on a shelf until we truly begin walking with Him and then we don’t know what We would do without our relationship with Him!

    I’ve had one for a few years. They are amazing. I just used it to dice up cooked potatoes for potato salad. One can chop up almost any vegetable with it.
