In Awe of Slaw

Nothing spells tradition more than family favorite foods. A popular one for our tribe is Broccoli Slaw. This baby is quick, simple and tasty. I’ll waste no time…here’s the recipe!

Broccoli Slaw

Ingredients:

1 pkg Broccali Slaw

4 oz. Sunflower Seeds

3 oz. Slivered Almonds

2 pkgs Oriental Ramen Noodles (crushed/broken into bite size pieces)

Dressing:

1/2 cup Salad Oil (I like Canola)

1/2 cup Sugar

1/3 cup White Vinegar

2 pkgs Seasoning from Oriental Noodles

  Brocalii Slaw

The salad is best when mixed and served immediately. However, a great DoAhead consists of mixing the seeds, almonds and noodles in a baggie and then placing them in the fridge to chill. In addition, the dressing can be prepared in advance. When it’s time to serve it takes just a few minutes to combine all the ingredients. The result is a fresh, crisp side dish!
