Last night I couldn’t help but think of Foghorn Leghorn. You see, I had a hot date with 12 pounds of raw chicken. (If you can’t remember Foghorn or you’ve never been introduced, check out the link below.)
I experienced two feelings while prepping the chicken:
- The “satisfied-and-sinfully-smug” feeling of having whipped 12 pounds of chicken into 3 DoAhead meals.
- The “nearly-ready-to-gag” feeling that comes from working with 12 pounds of raw chicken.
Enter Foghorn Leghorn.
My mind desperately sought humorous distraction so my twisted soul traveled to territory I’m very comfortable in. The land of the Looney.
As I transformed raw chicken from yuck to yum I focused on ol’ Foghorn. The link below is 13 minutes of fun. But if raw chicken doesn’t bother you, scroll right past Foghorn and you’ll find my favorite homemade recipe for Fajita Seasoning! It’s a great tool for turning chicken into a DoAhead meal.
